Reaching the front porch, he eagerly peeled off his thick, wet mittens and pressed his numb fingers against the steaming mug of cider his dad handed him through the doorway.
Question 1: Based on the passage, what can you infer about the weather?
A) It is a crisp, cool autumn day.
B) It is freezing cold and snowy.
C) A heavy rainstorm has just passed.
D) It is a bright, sunny spring morning.
Question 2: What does the word “trudged” suggest about how Leo was walking?
A) He was sprinting quickly up the hill.
