CCAT Number Puzzles

Number Puzzles

Test-takers are given an equation with digits on either side of an equal sign. This equation will have one number missing to be true. To solve the equation, test-takers must select a number from the choices that will make the equation true.

The quantitative battery evaluates a student’s numerical reasoning skills. It assesses their ability to work with numbers, understand mathematical concepts, solve mathematical problems, and apply mathematical reasoning to various situations. This battery measures the student’s proficiency in areas such as arithmetic, algebraic thinking, and quantitative problem-solving.

Note that the quantitative battery is just one component of the CCAT, and the test as a whole aims to provide a comprehensive evaluation of a student’s cognitive abilities across multiple domains. The inclusion of the quantitative battery ensures that quantitative reasoning skills are assessed, allowing for a more holistic understanding of a student’s cognitive profile.
